CHEST

Single Arm Cable Crossover

BeginnerCable

A single-arm cable fly that works one side of the chest at a time. The cable keeps the pec loaded through both the stretch and the squeeze, and going unilateral helps fix side-to-side differences. Bracing on one arm also pulls your core into the effort.

How to do it

  1. 1

Set the cable anchor to about shoulder height and stand side-on to the machine.

  2. 2

Grab the handle with the inside hand, palm facing forward and arm extended out to the side.

  3. 3

Keep a slight bend in the elbow and sweep the handle in an arc across your body.

  4. 4

Bring it in until it reaches mid-chest, holding the handle around shoulder height throughout.

  5. 5

Return slowly to the stretched starting position, then repeat on the other side.
