Balance Trainer Narrow Push Up

A close-grip push-up with both hands set narrow on the platform side of a BOSU trainer. The tight hand position shifts more load onto the triceps while the unstable base challenges the chest, shoulders and core. An advanced variation for building pressing strength and stability at once.

How to do it

    Stand behind the balance trainer with the dome side facing down.

  2. 2

    Set your hands close together on the platform and step back into a plank.

  3. 3

    Bend your arms and lower your chest toward the trainer.

  4. 4

    Press slowly back up until your arms are straight.

  5. 5

    Keep your core braced and avoid arching your lower back.

  6. 6

    Keep your elbows tracking around 45 degrees from your torso.
