CHEST
Incline Cable Chest Press
This cable press works the chest on an upward angle, shifting emphasis onto the upper pecs near the collarbone. Cables keep constant tension across the whole press and are easier on the shoulders than a loaded incline bar. Your core also stays busy keeping you steady.
How to do it
- 1
Set the pulleys to just above shoulder height on a dual-cable machine.
- 2
Sit with your back against the pad, holding a handle in each hand at chest height, shoulder-width apart, palms down.
- 3
Brace your core so your spine stays neutral and still.
- 4
Exhale and press the handles forward and slightly upward, keeping them in front of your shoulders.
- 5
At full extension, bend your elbows to bring the handles back to the start under control, then repeat.
