CHEST
Hammerstrength Decline Chest Press
A machine decline press that emphasizes the lower chest while still working the shoulders and triceps. The fixed path of the Hammerstrength machine adds stability and keeps tension consistent, letting you focus on pushing rather than balancing the weight.
How to do it
- 1
Sit upright in the machine with your shoulder blades squeezed together and feet flat on the floor.
- 2
Keep your head, shoulders, and glutes against the back pad throughout.
- 3
Grip the handles with an overhand grip just outside shoulder width, just below your chest.
- 4
Brace your core and press through your palms to straighten your arms, elbows about 45 degrees from your torso.
- 5
Once your arms are fully extended, return to the start under control.
- 6
Keep your movement smooth and controlled on every rep.
