CHEST
Dumbbell Incline Fly
An incline fly with dumbbells that isolates the upper chest while bringing in the front delts and stretching the pecs. Performed on an incline, it hones upper-chest definition and shoulder flexibility with a wide, controlled arc. A good accessory to round out chest work beyond pressing.
How to do it
- 1
Lie back on an incline bench set to 45 to 60 degrees, squeeze your shoulder blades together, and plant your feet.
- 2
Keep your head, shoulders, and hips in contact with the bench throughout.
- 3
Hold the dumbbells over your shoulders with palms facing each other and a slight bend in your elbows.
- 4
Brace your core by breathing into your stomach and tightening your abs.
- 5
Lower the dumbbells out to the sides in a wide arc, keeping the slight elbow bend, until they reach chest level.
- 6
Squeeze your chest to bring the dumbbells back up along the same arc and repeat.
