How to do it

    Stand in the calf machine with the shoulder pads on you and the balls of your feet secured on the platform.

  2. 2

    Let your heels hang off the edge and drop slightly toward the floor by flexing your ankles.

  3. 3

    Brace your core to keep a neutral spine, then extend your ankles to lift your heels.

  4. 4

    Reach full ankle extension at the top.

  5. 5

    Lower your heels back to the starting position and repeat.
