BICEPS

Single Arm Preacher Curl

BeginnerBodyweight

A one-arm curl performed on a preacher bench, which pins the upper arm and takes momentum out of the equation. That stability lets you zero in on the biceps and squeeze hard at the top. Training each arm on its own is ideal for ironing out strength differences.

How to do it

  1. 1

Sit at the preacher bench with your chest pressed against the pad.

  2. 2

Reach one arm over the pad and grip the bar with an underhand grip.

  3. 3

With the upper arm resting on the pad, bend the elbow to curl the bar upward.

  4. 4

Bring the bar up until your forearm meets your biceps, then lower it fully back down.

  5. 5

Complete your reps and repeat on the other arm.
