BICEPS
Loop Band Hammer Curl
This hammer curl uses a loop band, so resistance climbs as you near the top of the curl. That rising tension makes it especially effective at building strength through the upper portion of the range. The neutral grip emphasizes the long head of the biceps, and the band gives you free, natural movement.
How to do it
- 1
Stand on the middle of a loop band with feet shoulder-width apart, toes turned out slightly.
- 2
Grab the top of the band with both hands, palms facing in, about shoulder-width apart.
- 3
Keep this neutral hand position throughout the movement.
- 4
Start with your hands by your hips and your arms at your sides.
- 5
Bend your elbows to draw the band up toward your shoulders.
- 6
Lower it back down under control and repeat.
