EZ-Bar Reverse Grip Curl

BeginnerBarbell

Gripping the EZ-bar overhand turns a normal curl into a forearm and grip challenge alongside the biceps. The angled bar sits more comfortably on the wrists than a straight barbell, and its fixed path lets you focus on effort rather than balance. It's a solid pick for building thicker forearms and a stronger grip.

How to do it

  1. 1

Stand upright with an EZ-bar held in front of you.

  2. 2

Take an overhand grip on the bar with both hands.

  3. 3

Keep your core tight, chest lifted, and elbows locked against your sides.

  4. 4

Curl the bar up in an arc toward your chest.

  5. 5

Pause briefly at the top, then lower the bar back down with control.
