BICEPS
Close-Grip EZ-Bar Curl
Taking a narrow grip on the inner bend of the EZ-bar shifts emphasis toward the outer head of the biceps, giving a slightly different feel from a standard-width curl. The angled bar keeps the wrists comfortable and stable so you can push effort. It's a handy variation for adding variety to arm training.
How to do it
- 1
Stand with feet about shoulder-width apart and knees slightly bent.
- 2
Grip the inner bends of the EZ-bar with your hands a few inches apart, wrists rotated in slightly.
- 3
Curl the bar up while keeping your elbows fixed at your sides.
- 4
Hold for a moment at the top of the movement.
- 5
Lower the bar slowly, keeping tension in your biceps.
- 6
Keep your shoulders back and chest up throughout the set.
