An assisted squat where the TRX straps help support you on the way down and back up. That makes it an accessible entry point for building the leg strength needed to progress toward tougher, unsupported squat variations.

How to do it

    Grip the TRX handles with arms extended, palms in, facing the anchor with the straps taut.

  2. 2

    Set your feet just outside shoulder width, toes turned out slightly.

  3. 3

    Keep your weight even across both feet throughout.

  4. 4

    Lower by sending your hips back.

  5. 5

    Let your knees track over your second toe while bracing your core to avoid rounding.

  6. 6

    Sink as deep as your spine stays neutral, using the straps for help only if needed, then stand back up.
