QUADS
TRX Single Leg Squat
The TRX single-leg squat uses the suspension straps for balance help while you squat on one leg, hammering the quads and glutes of the working side. Training one leg at a time exposes and evens out strength differences between sides. It's an advanced move that seriously challenges balance and single-leg control.
How to do it
- 1
Face the anchor and hold the handles with arms extended, palms in and straps at full length.
- 2
Stand tall with feet hip-width apart.
- 3
Shift your weight onto your right leg and lift the left foot off the floor with the knee straight.
- 4
Hinge your hips back and bend the right knee to lower into a squat, using the straps for balance.
- 5
Descend until the right thigh is roughly parallel to the floor.
- 6
Push back up through the right leg, pulling on the straps only if needed, then switch sides.
