QUADS

Star Jump

BeginnerBodyweight

An explosive plyometric jump where you fling your arms and legs out wide at the peak. It develops leg power, coordination, and conditioning, driven mainly by the quads and calves with the core and shoulders joining in.

How to do it

  1. 1

Stand with your feet about shoulder-width apart.

  2. 2

Bend your knees and push your hips back into a squat.

  3. 3

Explode off the floor, spreading your feet out to the sides and lifting your arms into a Y overhead.

  4. 4

Pull your feet back under your hips before landing softly.

  5. 5

Absorb the landing and go straight into the next rep.
