Sled Pull

BeginnerMachine

The sled pull has you haul a loaded sled forward by the ropes, working the legs and back hard with the core and arms bracing throughout. With no lowering phase, it builds strength, power and endurance while sparing the joints. It's a favorite for improving athletic performance in any sport that demands strong pulling.

How to do it

  1. 1

Grab the ropes and face away from the sled, standing tall.

  2. 2

Lean your torso forward and start driving your body ahead to get the sled moving.

  3. 3

Push hard through your legs with each step to keep the sled traveling.

  4. 4

Maintain a braced core and steady posture as you go.

  5. 5

Continue for your prescribed distance or time.

  6. 6

Rest, then repeat for additional rounds.
