QUADS

Box Shuffle

BeginnerBodyweight

The box shuffle is a fast footwork drill where you rapidly swap which foot rests on top of a low box, pumping the arms like a sprint. It builds coordination, agility and conditioning while getting the quads and calves working. It's a quick, athletic addition to warm-ups or functional training circuits.

How to do it

  1. 1

Stand behind a low box, place one foot on top of it, and raise the opposite arm.

  2. 2

Keep your back flat and chest up throughout.

  3. 3

Push explosively off the top foot to hop slightly into the air.

  4. 4

Switch feet mid-air so the opposite foot lands on the box.

  5. 5

Cycle your arms in a running motion as your legs swap.

  6. 6

Keep alternating quickly for the length of your set.
