Balance Trainer Single Leg TRX Lunges

An advanced Bulgarian split squat that stacks two instability tools: your front foot stands on a balance trainer dome while your rear foot rides in the TRX straps. That double challenge hammers the quads while forcing your stabilizers and core to work overtime for balance. Save it for when you've mastered simpler split-squat variations.

How to do it

  1. 1

    Stand on one foot on the balance trainer dome with the other foot resting in the suspension straps behind you.

  2. 2

    Bend the hip, knee, and ankle of the standing leg while the rear leg extends back.

  3. 3

    Descend under control, keeping your torso upright and core braced.

  4. 4

    Press back up through the standing leg to the top.

  5. 5

    Complete your reps on one side before switching.

  6. 6

    Stay tall and controlled the entire time given how much balance this demands.
