ADDUCTORS

Fan Stretch

BeginnerBodyweight

A seated flexibility drill that opens up the inner thighs, hamstrings, and lower back. Sweeping your reach from the center out toward each foot stretches those areas through different angles. Useful for building the lower body range of motion athletes rely on.

How to do it

  1. 1

Sit tall on the floor with your legs spread wide until you feel a comfortable stretch.

  2. 2

Fold your torso forward and reach both arms out between your legs.

  3. 3

Come back to upright, then bend and reach both arms over one foot.

  4. 4

Return to center again, then bend and reach over the opposite foot.

  5. 5

Keep flowing through the sequence, holding each reach briefly.
