SHOULDERS
Side Laterals to Front Raise
This combines a lateral raise with a front raise, moving the dumbbells out to the sides and then bringing them together in front of you. The two positions target different parts of the shoulder, so you train the delts more completely in one flowing set. It's an efficient way to round out shoulder work.
How to do it
- 1
Stand upright with feet about shoulder-width apart.
- 2
Hold a dumbbell beside each hip, palms facing inward.
- 3
Brace your core to keep a neutral spine.
- 4
With elbows slightly bent, raise both weights out to the sides up to shoulder height.
- 5
At the top, sweep the dumbbells together out in front of you with arms extended, then lower them back down under control.
