Overhead PVC Shoulder Stretch

BeginnerBodyweight

Often called a pass-through, this move takes a PVC pipe from the front of your body, up over your head, and around to your back. It stretches the shoulders through a big arc and improves the mobility you need for overhead lifting.

How to do it

  1. 1

Stand tall, feet shoulder width apart, holding a PVC pipe with an overhand grip just outside your shoulders in front of your hips.

  2. 2

With straight arms, lift the pipe up and over your head in a smooth arc.

  3. 3

Continue the arc until the pipe reaches your lower back.

  4. 4

Reverse the path under control back to the front.

  5. 5

Widen your grip if the pass feels too tight.
