SHOULDERS
Cross-body Arm Stretch
BeginnerBodyweight
A simple shoulder stretch that pulls one arm across the body to lengthen the rear delt and triceps. Holding the arm in place with the opposite hand relieves shoulder tightness and improves range of motion. It slots easily into a warm-up or cooldown and helps keep the shoulder joint mobile and injury-resistant.
How to do it
- 1
Reach one arm straight across the front of your chest.
- 2
Use your opposite hand to gently draw the extended arm in closer.
- 3
Keep pulling until you feel a comfortable stretch through that shoulder.
- 4
Hold for 15 to 30 seconds without forcing it.
- 5
Release and repeat on the other arm.
