Table Top Bear Crawl

BeginnerBodyweight

The Bear Crawl keeps your knees hovering just off the ground while you crawl, forcing the core, shoulders, and legs to work together to stay stable. It builds trunk stability and shoulder endurance and raises your heart rate, making it a lively alternative to static holds.

How to do it

  1. 1

Kneel on all fours with knees shoulder-width apart and toes tucked under.

  2. 2

Place your hands directly under your shoulders and keep your back flat, gaze down.

  3. 3

Lift your knees an inch or two off the floor by raising your hips slightly.

  4. 4

Keeping your back flat, shift your weight and step forward with one hand and the opposite foot.

  5. 5

Continue stepping forward on opposite hand and foot, staying low.

  6. 6

Crawl forward and back through the set while keeping your knees hovering.
