Plank Shoulder Taps
Tapping your shoulders from a high plank removes support from one hand at a time, forcing your core to resist rotation and keep your hips still. It also asks something of the chest and shoulders holding you up. A solid intermediate move for anti-rotation stability.
How to do it
- 1
Set up in a high plank with hands under your shoulders and a straight body line.
- 2
Brace your core to lock in your position.
- 3
Lift one hand and tap it to the opposite shoulder while staying balanced.
- 4
Return that hand to the floor, keeping your core tight.
- 5
Tap with the other hand, and keep alternating.
- 6
Fight to keep your hips from rocking side to side throughout.
