Plank Jack on Elbows

BeginnerBodyweight

A forearm plank with the leg motion of a jumping jack, which adds a cardio and coordination element to the hold. Keeping your torso still while your feet jump fires up the core, shoulders, and glutes.

How to do it

  1. 1

Set your elbows under your shoulders and lift into a forearm plank, straight from shoulders to heels, feet together.

  2. 2

Bend your knees slightly and explosively jump your feet out to the sides.

  3. 3

Land softly on the balls of your feet.

  4. 4

Immediately jump your feet back together to the start.

  5. 5

Keep your hips level and core tight, avoiding any bounce in your torso.
