Partner Plank and Reach
This partner plank has you hold the position while reaching out to touch your partner's hand. Lifting one arm removes a point of support, so your core has to fight to keep your hips and shoulders level, making it a tougher core challenge than a standard plank.
How to do it
- 1
Set up in a forearm plank on the floor with your head about a foot from your partner's.
- 2
Position your elbows under your shoulders and tuck your toes.
- 3
Brace your core and lift your hips so your body forms a straight line.
- 4
Shift your weight onto your left arm and lift your right hand off the floor.
- 5
Reach forward to shake your partner's hand while holding your balance.
- 6
Return the hand to the floor and repeat on the other side, alternating throughout.
