Partner Medicine Ball Full Twist

A rotational core exercise where you twist to tap a medicine ball against a wall on each side. Turning through the shoulders and then the hips loads the obliques and builds rotational power. Working near a wall or partner gives you a target and a bit of feedback on each rep.

How to do it

  1. 1

    Stand with your back a foot or two from a wall, feet about shoulder width.

  2. 2

    Hold a medicine ball in front of you with elbows bent at your sides.

  3. 3

    Rotate your shoulders as far right as you can, then turn the hips to tap the ball on the wall.

  4. 4

    Keep your torso tall and rotate back through to the left, tapping the ball on the wall again.

  5. 5

    Return to the center starting position and continue.
