ABS

Partner Lying Leg Throw Down

BeginnerBodyweight

In this partner drill, you lie on your back and raise your legs toward a standing partner who pushes them back down, forcing your abs to resist and control the descent. The variable resistance from your partner keeps every rep challenging. It's a dynamic, cooperative core builder.

How to do it

  1. 1

Partner one lies on their back with their head between the standing partner's feet, grasping their partner's ankles.

  2. 2

Partner two stands over partner one's head, knees soft, core braced, hands ready to catch.

  3. 3

Partner one engages the core and raises straight legs in an arc toward partner two's face, without locking the knees.

  4. 4

Partner two catches the legs and pushes them firmly back toward the floor.

  5. 5

Partner one resists and slows the legs, lowering them under control to the start.

  6. 6

Repeat for the set, then swap roles.
