ABS

Hanging Windshield Wiper

AdvancedBodyweight

An advanced hanging move where you lift your legs high and swing them side to side in a wide arc. It heavily loads the obliques, abs, and hip flexors while the arms and shoulders hold you on the bar. A top-tier test of core control and full-body coordination.

How to do it

  1. 1

Grip the bar with an overhand grip and let your feet hang clear of the floor.

  2. 2

Squeeze the abs to raise your legs until they're roughly vertical over your hips.

  3. 3

Hold that torso position and keep the legs straight with feet together.

  4. 4

Lower the legs to one side in a controlled arc.

  5. 5

Bring them back over your hips, then sweep to the other side and repeat.
