Exercise Ball Crunch

A crunch performed draped over a stability ball, which lets your spine extend further for a bigger range of motion. The ball supports your back at the bottom and adds a balance element, making it a strong step up from floor crunches.

How to do it

    Sit on the edge of the ball with knees bent and feet flat on the floor.

    Walk out and lay your back over the ball so your spine is gently extended.

  3. 3

    Cross your arms over your chest or place your hands behind your head.

  4. 4

    Contract your abs to curl your ribs toward your belly button, tucking your chin, until your upper back lifts off the ball.

  5. 5

    Lower back onto the ball under control, keeping the ball steady throughout.
