Balance Trainer Walk Out Plank

IntermediateStability ball

A walkout drill with your feet planted on a BOSU dome, walking your hands forward into a full plank and back. The dome adds instability that ramps up core engagement and shoulder demand beyond a standard walkout. A solid pick for building trunk stability and upper-body control.

How to do it

  1. 1

Start in a pike with your hands on the floor and feet on the dome.

  2. 2

Slowly walk your hands forward until your body reaches a full plank.

  3. 3

Walk your hands back in to return to the pike.

  4. 4

Keep alternating between the pike and plank, bending your knees if you need to.

  5. 5

    Keep your core braced throughout.

  6. 6

Avoid letting your lower back arch when you're in the plank.
