Balance Trainer Up and Down Planks

IntermediateStability ball

A moving plank on a BOSU dome that shifts between forearm and hand support. Pressing up and down while balancing loads the core and shoulders more than a plain plank. A solid builder for core strength and shoulder stability.

How to do it

  1. 1

Set up in a plank with your elbows bent and forearms on the dome.

  2. 2

Press up onto one hand, then the other, until both arms are straight.

  3. 3

Lower one forearm back down, then the other, returning to the elbow plank.

  4. 4

Do your reps leading with one arm, then repeat leading with the other.

  5. 5

Keep the core braced and avoid arching the lower back.
