Balance Trainer Shoulder Tap Planks

A plank with shoulder taps set up on a BOSU dome. Lifting a hand to tap the opposite shoulder forces the core to resist rotation while the shoulders and arms stabilize, and the dome under your feet cranks up the balance demand. Excellent for anti-rotation strength.

How to do it

    Stand in front of the trainer and place your hands on the floor.

  2. 2

    Step your feet up onto the dome in a narrow stance and settle into a plank.

  3. 3

    Shift your weight onto one arm and lift the other to tap the opposite shoulder.

  4. 4

    Set the hand down and repeat on the other side.

  5. 5

    Keep alternating taps while holding the hips as still as possible.

  6. 6

    Stay braced throughout and don't let the lower back arch.
