Balance Trainer Crunch

A crunch done draped over a balance trainer dome, which lets you extend further back and adds instability at the base. The extra stretch and wobble sharpen the demand on your abs versus a flat-floor crunch.

How to do it

    Sit on the edge of the balance trainer, dome up, with knees bent and feet planted.

  2. 2

    Lie back over the dome so your torso extends into a slight stretch.

  3. 3

    Fold your arms across your chest.

  4. 4

    Contract your abs to curl your lower ribs toward your belly button, lifting your torso off the dome without jutting your head forward.

  5. 5

    Lower back down slowly, keeping tension in your abs.
