Standing Hip Flexor Stretch
BeginnerBodyweight
A standing stretch that opens the hip flexors and improves hip mobility. Doing it upright keeps you balanced and in control, and the added range helps your squats, lunges, and other lower-body work move more freely.
How to do it
- 1
Stand tall with feet about hip width apart.
- 2
Lift your right knee up toward hip height.
- 3
Rotate that knee out to the side until you feel an easy stretch at the front of your hip.
- 4
Return the foot to the floor.
- 5
Repeat on the other side.
