Handle Band Lat Pulldown

BeginnerCableResistance band

This move recreates the lat pulldown with a handled band anchored overhead. It targets the lats and travels anywhere, with tension that builds as you pull. Kneeling directly under the anchor keeps the line of pull vertical so you can focus on clean form.

How to do it

  1. 1

Loop a band over a pull-up bar or high anchor point.

  2. 2

Kneel and sit back on your heels directly beneath the anchor.

  3. 3

Reach up and grab the band handles overhand with your arms extended overhead.

  4. 4

Pull the handles down to your shoulders by bending your elbows to the sides of your torso.

  5. 5

Return under control to the overhead start and repeat.
