EZ Bar PJR Pull Over

BeginnerBarbell

A pull-over variation using an EZ-bar that emphasizes the lats along with the triceps and chest. Keeping the elbows bent to 90 degrees lets you load a deep stretch across the lats at the bottom. The angled EZ-bar grip is easier on the wrists than a straight bar.

How to do it

  1. 1

Lie back on a flat bench, keeping both shoulder blades in contact with it.

  2. 2

Hold an EZ-bar in both hands and position it over your chest with your arms extended.

  3. 3

Slowly bend your elbows to 90 degrees, keeping your triceps tight to control the bar.

  4. 4

Holding that 90-degree bend, take the bar back over your head until you feel your lats stretch.

  5. 5

Pull with your back to bring the bar back over your chest.

  6. 6

Extend your arms using your triceps to return to the start.
