Cable Crossover Lat Pulldown
The cable crossover lat pulldown uses two cables to add a crossover path that deepens the stretch and squeeze on the lats. That extra range builds width and depth in the back and supports a stronger V-taper. It's especially good when you want to hammer the lower lats through a bigger range of motion.
How to do it
- 1
Kneel on the floor between two high cables and grab a handle in each hand, palms facing forward.
- 2
Pull the handles down toward your torso by engaging your back, letting your hands rotate inward as you go.
- 3
Hold the contraction for a moment, squeezing your upper back at the bottom.
- 4
Let the handles rise back up slowly while keeping tension on your back.
- 5
Stay tall with your chest up, shoulders back, and core braced, feeling the work in your back rather than your biceps.
